My book review of 'The House of One Hundred Clocks' by AM Howell
It's the summer of 1905 and Helena and her parrot, Orbit, have to move to Cambridge when their father is appointed clock-winder to one of the wealthiest men in England.
There is a vast collection of clocks of all shapes and sizes to oversee, and the only requirement is that these timepieces must never stop.
Helena soon experiences many mysterious occurrences associated with the clocks and determines to find out just what is behind it all, before it's too late.
This is such a clever premise for a story, and is sure to intrigue and delight readers of all ages.
